Yu Bao, I got 100 of this Chinese Umbrella which are all hand made in China. I used to have Shirley Temple with this kind of umbrella at a restaurant when I was a kid in the US. I am not sure but I thought they unsharp the edge every single umbrella like this.

After I left the University, I went to New York to seek a job. If I am right I was age of 27 at that time. I have arrived to New York without appointment with hotel to stay because I did not have a credit card. So once I arrived at the airport I called to the hotel to make an appointment. And I could make one without credit cad so got on a Taxi to the hotel. I mentioned the direction to the Taxi Driver (Let me nick name him here as CHRISTIAN). New York is Asia friendly place so Christian started chatting with me. In the meant time, "There is a room vacancy at the home I am staying and I know the owner so do you like to stay at that room he said?" A little concern came up to me. One, I have to cancel the appoint ment I just made at the airport. Two, Is he a serious person? I thought about it and said "Yes!". It looked like Christian was happy by I decide to stay at the room he suggest me.
Then I met the owner (let me nick name him as FIVE PAD here) of the house and he explained the deal staying at this room and I have stayed during my stay in New York. Just in case, I need to say I was unknowingly facing Name Problem at this age. I did my job seeking, and Christian was doing his job as usual. On Saturday, I took Greyhound bus to New York City from Albany. I wanted to be at the place where 9.11 happened. I had a lunch at the Chineses food restaurant (More like a store style), It was not all you can eat but it was a buffet style restaurant. The system was chose how many items you want and pay for that. I thought, I pay first and put items on my dishes so I went to the cashier first as usual it was in LA or JP, but the cashier said "pay after". I was like "why after"? This is New York City, It did not make sense at all. So that was what I was thinking about during picking my lunch. Then I finished picking my lunch and went to the cashier, I do not know why the cashier knew what I was thinking but he started to explain why pay after.
The reason was, if you pay first people put more items than they paid at the cashier. I was really shocked by opposite idea that I have experienced in Los Angeles or Tokyo but it makes sense that people being more carful in New York City I thought. After my lunch, I went 9.11 place and took a walk for a while then something made me to get back to Albany at around 18:00 pm and
I took Amtrak to Albany. On Sunday, I went out with Christian and I remember he told me " You know what Dairoku, when people have a chat like this, we go along with the person who is with a Happy Mind by implied understanding"
I think Christian knew I was having a hard time with my job seeking in New York.

I have been to Shanghai China with a tour when I was around 19 years old. I remember I chose Galaxy Hotel. I arrived to Shanghai and went through the immigration and then I opened the door to china. What I saw was many people arguing with officers at many places. I was really scared while waiting for a tourist guide. The tourist guide showed up and what I found next was I was the only in that tour…….. I don't know why but the travel agency scheduled me on Lunar New Year in China. I arrived to the hotel and went outside to hangout! What I saw next is all stores were closed. All people were gone. I thought I was not in a downtown area so I got on a Taxi. When I got on a Taxi one China man came to my Taxi and said I'm going to the same direction with you so let me take this taxi with you. Then I got off at down town and started walking, somehow the china man was still with me. I was wondering why but kept walking the street, age about 5 child came to me and looked like asking for a chocolate or a chewing gum. I did not have any so when I tried to spare my change, the china man stopped me. He said, "Look", behind the building many kids are watching so if you spare something they will come on you". Then I came to realize why he is still with me. And we hit off some how and we got together with one of his friend. There was only a store OK opened so we went to OK which is KARAOKE in china for an hour and I singed one of a song from JP. We exchanged address and phone number and split. Next day I went to Suzhou. I had a lunch there and found the dishes were too oily to me so I could not eat at all. Then the tour guide said, you can not live here with that food problem. The day leaving china came, and 32 years have passed. I still remember the china man "Lee" as a dear friend of mine.

There was a young man who was originally from outside of JP crossing a mid size crossroad without paying attention in Tokyo. He was watching his smartphone. When he was about to pass by me, a different man suddenly bumped into that young man shoulder in front of me. It looked on purpose he bumped into a young. So I was like what happened? The young man turned angry to the man
but that man was seriously facing him for a while. About 5 seconds later young
made a bow to that man. If I were that man could I do that to the young……..?

When I told about this story in New York they surprised "How flexible!".
I got my first driver license in California when I was 19 yeas old. I put my front license plate inside of the front glass of my car and one day at the parking lot, I had a vehicle citation on my car like $500...... It was quite big amount so I went to the police station and said "I can not pay this much……"
Then the officer said, "OK, put it back where it was and come back and show us that you have put it where it was, then we will make it $5 citation". And they made it $500 to $5 citation.

Yu Bao, I feel people in this country JP try to rely on others than the country I was born.
I was taught ”PEOPLE HELPS THOSE WHO HELP THEMSELVES". It was taught through seeking what I can do as an individual my self. Well, what I am trying to say here is that it seems differences on the way people try to reach their own goals.
